Help me...
Chapter 5
Principal Jarvis was a middle-aged man with a warm demeanour, he displayed a genuine concern for the well-being of the students and staff and I felt he was on my side.
Mr. Anderson was the school lawyer, dressed in a sharp suit. His expression remained stoic, concealing any opinions he might have about my situation. Little did I know that he harboured reservations about the complications of having a vice principal being partly crippled in a leg brace and using a cane. I could only imagine how he felt about my leg cast and crutches.
And Mr. Roberts, a man of authority and experience, sat representing the parents of our school. His eyes, filled with a peculiar understanding, were drawn to my leg cast, crutches and the exposed toes that peeked out. It wasn't lost on me that Bella, with her advanced capabilities, might have detected his particular fetish with ladies with leg casts and crutches.
As the meeting progressed, I couldn't help but notice Mr. Roberts's gaze lingering on my cast, a subtle yet noticeable sexual curiosity in his eyes. It hinted at a fascination that went beyond the ordinary concerns of a school representative.
Unaware of all the intricate political dynamics unfolding around me, I focused on the agenda at hand. The blend of school politics and personal sexual and erotic nuances could shape the narrative of this meeting, introducing unexpected twists and turns to the already complex story of my day.
The principal addressed the room and even before it started Bella knew that I needed a unanimous vote and that Mr. Anderson would need to be dealt with somehow.
"Now, let's proceed with our agenda. Today, we have a few important matters to discuss, including Miriam's possible appointment. Thank you for joining us today even after your recent injury"
I nodded in acknowledgement, my attention shifting between the individuals seated at the table. The air in the room thickened.
As the meeting approached its conclusion, the principal posed the pivotal question, "Miriam, why do you believe you would be a good vice principal for our school?"
With a resolute nod, I rose, reached for my crutches, and gracefully moved around the room, my cast floating off the floor. I was so ready to address the committee's inquiry.
"Principal and esteemed committee members, I see the role of vice principal as an opportunity to bring a unique perspective to our school," I began, my crutches supporting each step. Mr. Roberts's gaze followed my movements, an obvious appreciation in his eyes.
"I have experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating life with a leg brace, and now this cast," I continued looking down at the vibrant red cast that adorned my leg.
"These experiences have given me qualities of resilience, adaptability, and empathy, which I believe are essential for fostering a supportive and inclusive environment."
As I continued, I noticed Mr. Roberts's eyes linger on my cast. "I am committed to ensuring our school remains a place where every individual feels valued and understood. My goal is to leverage my experiences to contribute to the overall well-being of our school community."
Returning to my seat, I concluded, "With your support, I aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of the challenges they face."
The room fell into contemplative silence, the weight of my words settling in. I graciously shook hands with Principal Johnson, Mr. Anderson, and Mr. Roberts and I slowly made my way back to the car, crutches supporting each step.
To my surprise as I approached the sleek vehicle, Bella was nowhere to be found. Instead, a driver stood by the car, ready to assist. A hint of concern crept into my mind as I inquired,
"Where is Bella? What's going on?"
The driver said "Bella had to attend to an urgent matter. I've been assigned to ensure you get back safely.."
The driver stared at my leg cast, offered a supportive hand. "Allow me to assist you," he said, as I lowered myself into the car. The plush seats accommodated my leg cast comfortably, and I settled in, the unease from Bella's sudden departure lingering in my thoughts.
As the car pulled away from the school, the driver navigated the streets with precision. I couldn't shake off the lingering concern about Bella's sudden departure.
"What urgent matter required Bella's immediate attention?" I wondered aloud, addressing the driver.
He glanced at me through the rear-view mirror, his expression neutral. "I'm not privy to the details, ma'am. Bella simply had to attend to something that couldn't wait. Rest assured, you're in safe hands with me."
His reassurance did little to stop the growing unease within me. I leaned back in the comfortable car seat, contemplating the dynamics of the school meeting and the challenge of securing a unanimous vote.
Upon reaching my house, the driver assisted me out of the car, mindful of my broken leg. I thanked him as I made my way inside.
Later on that night little did I know that Bella decided to visit Mr. Anderson.
"Mr. Anderson, I've come to discuss the impending decision you hold in your hands."
Startled, Mr. Anderson stumbled back, his eyes widening as he looked at Bella.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?"
Bella had an unsettling smile. Mr. Anderson found himself compelled to sit on his living room couch. She was tall with an air of both authority and malice.
"Your dissent in the vote carries weight, Mr. Anderson. But every decision has its price. In this tale, your role is pivotal, and the consequences are beyond your imagination"
Mr. Anderson, though unnerved, mustered the courage to respond, "I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but I've made my decision. I will vote against Miriam for the position of vice principal. It's in the best interest of the school, and I have valid reasons."
"Reasons...seriously...let me give you one reason to vote for her." Her words resonated with an ominous tone.
Suddenly he felt her long fingers grab his left foot and grip it tight. As he tried to pull away, he felt his leg being twisted ever so slowly but surely.
"Are you sure Mr. Anderson?" she asked, rotating his foot, the pain was excruciating, his screams of agony echoing throughout the room.
In minutes, his lower leg was twisted into an unnatural position while pain brought tears to his eyes as he tried to struggle free, but Bella's cold grip remained tight.
"I'm sorry to have to do this Mr. Anderson, but you have chosen the wrong path. Consider this a lesson about the consequences of your actions."
The pain was unbearable as he tried, once more, to pull free and end the agony. But no matter how hard he tried, the twisting only continued, the damage mounting as he attempted to get away.
"OK stop...please"
"Too late sir"
They both hear the break, with a loud cracking sound, the pain reaching a new level as his leg and ankle snapped under the pressure being applied. He screamed out loudly, unable to contain the pain.
The grip suddenly loosened and she leaned over him.
"You know how to vote tomorrow or I will be back" She said leaving Mr. Anderson alone with the pain and the damage she had inflicted. He sat there, tears of pain and frustration running down his cheeks as he tried to process what had just happened.
He looked down at the damaged leg and ankle and was horrified by the sight. He tried to move it around and assess the damage. The bones that once provided stability were now broken, the foot and ankle turned at an unnatural angle.
With no doubt in his mind, Mr. Anderson knew his leg was broken. He tried to inspect the damage further, but the pain was too much to bear.
